La Passione di Sordevolo, una grande rappresentazione di teatro popolare unica in Italia e nel mondo, presenta l’edizione 2022

Questi sono solo alcuni dei numeri che contraddistinguono la pluricentenaria tradizione teatrale corale della Passione di Cristo che, prevista per l’estate del 2020 e costretta a un doppio rinvio a causa della pandemia, potrà finalmente tornare in scena dal 18 giugno al 25 settembre con 34 repliche ogni fine settimana.

Venerdì 25 marzo 2022, alle ore 18, presso la Biblioteca Civica di Biella, in Piazza Curiel 13, in collaborazione e con il patrocinio del Comune di Biella e del Comune di Sordevolo, avrà luogo la conferenza di presentazione dell’edizione 2022.

Sarà l’occasione per parlare del grande evento che ogni cinque anni coinvolge un intero paese e richiama spettatori, provenienti da tutto il mondo, nell’anfiteatro trasformato in un angolo di Palestina, ma anche del Museo della Passione, recentemente rinnovato, e dei due ultimi libri legati alla rappresentazione: Sordevolo, dove la Passione opera e Biblia Pauperum. Infine verrà presentata l’opera MMXXII che l’artista biellese Paolo Barichello ha voluto dedicare alla Passione di Sordevolo.

Per l’ingresso sono richiesti il super green pass e l’uso di mascherina FFP2.

These are some numbers about the pluricentennial theatre tradition of the Passion of Christ that, foreseen for Summer 2020 and forced to a double postponement due to the pandemia, can finally be performed again from June 18th to September 25th with a run of 34 plays during the weekend

The Presentation Conference, supported by the Communes of Biella and Sordevolo will take place on Friday,  March 25th, 2022 , at 6 pm by the Town Library in Biella, piazza Curiel 13

It’ll be the right occasion to speak about the great event in which every five years a whole village is involved and attracts members of the audience from all the world in the Amphitheatre transformed in a corner of Palestina; but also to speak about  the recently renewed Passion Museum,  such as about the two last books connected to the performance: Sordevolo, dove la Passione opera (Sordevolo, where Passion works) and Biblia Pauperum (the Bible of poor people).

Finally, it’ll take place the presentation of the work MMXXII by the biellese artist Paolo Barichello dedicated to the Passion of Sordevolo.
