Biella, May 14, 2026 – The second familiarisation tour organized by the Sordevolo Folk Theatre Association is currently underway, made possible thanks to the support of ATL and the collaboration of Fondazione BIellezza and the Biellese Industrial Union. This edition hosts tour operators from across Italy and abroad, particularly from the UK, Russia, Germany, and the United States of America. The event aims to promote the Sordevolo Passion Play 2027 alongside the Province of Biella, an area rich in destinations aligned with evolving tourism preferences.
The itinerary involves numerous stops, beginning with the Amphitheatre and Museum of the Sordevolo Passion Play. Tour operators will have the opportunity to stay in the Province of Biella and discover the defining characteristics of the territory. In addition to visiting the cultural sites of the Biella area, particular emphasis has been placed on the importance of local food and wine traditions. The program includes visits to the MeBo Museum and the Mosca 1916 store, featuring regional Biella specialties. Furthermore, the tour includes stops at the Piacenza Cashmere shop, the Fila Museum, the two Marian Sanctuaries of Oropa and Graglia, the Ricetto di Candelo, and the historical center of Biella.
Stefano Rubin Pedrazzo, President of the Sordevolo Folk Theatre Association, expressed strong confidence in the initiative: “It is certainly a significant investment, but one with a very specific goal. Visitors who travel to see the Passion Play rarely restrict their stay to Sordevolo alone. This is why tour operators must spend quality time in the Biella region: firsthand experience enables them to design richer, more comprehensive travel packages that showcase the best of our territory.”
